Who is Whitney Stuart?

Whitney Stuart MCN, RDN, is a board-certified dietitian-nutritionist, cerified diabetic educator and award-winning Whole30 Certified Coach. She holds a Bachelor's of Science degree from Southern Methodist University in Pre-Medical Studies & Physiology, with a minor inmathematics. Her Master's of Clinical Nutrition was obtained from UT Southwestern Applied Health Sciences with a sports nutrition focus.

Whitness Nutrition has a “real food first” approach. Whitney offers full spectrum nutritional assessment, along with community nutrition events, corporate wellness challenges and seminars.

Whitness Nutrition provides relationship-based nutritional counseling paralleled with realistic goal setting for a solid foundation of healthy habits. Whitney understands that each person is unique along with their optimal life plan. Each patient is provided personalized guidance. Cookie cutters belong in the kitchen. Whitney is also the co-founder of the Dallas Duo; a socail wellness brand that hosts Whole30 resets thrice yearly and she is a contributing writer for Vital Proteins & Gather Kitchen.

Background:
Whitney found her overwhelming passion for nutrition in 2009 after a pivotal diagnosis of Celiac disease and multiple food allergies, along with a host of gastrointestinal problems. She was frustrated with the proposed treatments; multiple prescriptions with ill side-effects, exploratory surgeries, over-confident doctors, nutritional deficiencies, and too many hospital admits. She took the challenge upon herself to find whole body healing through holistic approaches; a less popular, but life-changing decision. Healthy, happy and thriving; she's made it a mission to empower and educate other women to pursue eating real food for their strongest and best self.

Personal:

When she's not in the office, you'll find her sipping on a cold brew, teaching HIIT at Zyn22 (join anytime!), or speaking to local businesses on the importance of nutrition in the workplace. Her downtime is spent on getaways with her hubby, burying into her bible study, and AM sweat dates with girlfriends.

Whitney Stuart is a Dietitian.

The difference?

Anyone can call themselves a ‘Nutritionist’.  It is an affinity or passion, similar to saying you are a cook or a gardener.  Though there are now several ‘nutrition’ credentialing programs (often programs that require less than a 1 year commitment), a Registered Dietitian is recognized by healthcare authorities such as JCAHO and the American Medical Association as the leading health expert in nutrition and are the only ‘nutritionists’ legally qualified to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and Nutrition Assessments as defined by federal and state healthcare regulations.

To be a Registered Dietitian you must complete your undergraduate degree (Whitney completed her Master's in clinical nutrition) and required coursework to apply to a highly competitive internship program.  If accepted into an internship program, you must successfully complete the internship, including 1000 hours, in order to qualify to take the Certified Dietetic Registration Examination.  After successfully passing this examination, you must complete at least 75 approved continuing education hours every 5 years to remain licensed.
